Japanese trowels
These Japanese trowels do an amazing job applying earthen plasters. They are lightweight and the steel is very flexible. They work best when the surface is well prepared with very little irregularities. They really shine when applying earthen plasters directly on drywall.
Pool trowel
The pool trowel has rounded ends and the steel is somewhat flexible. This the tool of choice for applying earthen floors. They can also be used for applying brown coats or to apply a finish earthen plaster on a very flat surface.
Yogurt container lid
This is a beautiful tool for applying plasters to all surfaces. It is a little slow, but works really well when the surfaces are a bit irregular or has curves. It is also used for burnishing plasters. The edge of the lid is cut off.
